About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our accounting team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Complete personal tax returns and VAT returns for clients.
  • Work with multiple software systems, including Sage and QuickBooks, to manage client data and financial information.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in software systems, including Sage and QuickBooks.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
