Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Sustainability Project Manager. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health of our organization and contribute to our mission of growing churches at the heart of every community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop a Financial Sustainability Strategy: Build on existing work to create a comprehensive strategy for financial sustainability, focusing on giving and generosity.
  • Project Planning and Resource Allocation: Create a project plan and resource requirements for the delivery of the strategy, including personnel and budget.
  • Engagement and Oversight: Develop an approach to engage parishes and oversight areas, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Integration with Strategic Plan: Work with the Project Management Office to integrate financial sustainability plans into our overall strategic plan.
Delivery Stage
  • Project Delivery: Deliver the project in line with the project plan and budget, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Team Management: Recruit and manage a team to deliver the project, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including parishes, clergy, and lay leaders.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress, track key indicators, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Highly numerate and logical, with a strong understanding of financial principles and project management.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Theological Understanding: A deep understanding of Christian theology and discipleship, particularly in relation to generosity and giving.
Personal Qualities
  • Influencing Skills: Strong influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and persuade stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and innovative approach.
  • Self-Organization: Strong self-organization skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
Working Arrangements

The post holder will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and will need to travel to parishes across the diocese. A car and driving license would be beneficial.
