Job Title: Head of School of Psychiatry

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our School of Psychiatry as Head of School. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of medical education and training in the NHS.

About the Role

The Head of School will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality education and training in Psychiatry, working closely with the Postgraduate Dean and other stakeholders. This will involve developing and implementing strategies to improve learner supervision, assessment, and experience, as well as engaging faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes.

The role will also focus on whole workforce transformation, developing multi-professional links, and innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies. The Head of School will be professionally and managerially accountable to the Postgraduate Dean and will work across the spectrum of health and social care to deliver an integrated workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve learner supervision, assessment, and experience
  • Engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality education and training in Psychiatry
  • Work with the Postgraduate Dean and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for whole workforce transformation
  • Develop multi-professional links and innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Psychiatry and experience in leading educational programs. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
