About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advocate to join our team in the North East. As an Advocate, you will play a vital role in empowering and supporting children and young people to ensure their voices are heard within decision-making processes that affect their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower and support children and young people to express their views and wishes
  • Work with professionals, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best interests of children and young people are represented
  • Provide independent advocacy services to children and young people with mental health needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of advocacy strategies and policies
Requirements
  • IAQ City and Guilds Level 4 in Advocacy or willingness to undertake the qualification
  • Specialist unit in Independent Mental Health Advocacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of child and young person-centered practice
