About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation team in Wakefield. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation services to patients in the community, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitating discharges home.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues, partners, patients, and their families/carers to provide evidence-based, client-centered care. You will be responsible for managing a defined caseload, supervising junior staff and students, and contributing to the clinical and professional development of the Physiotherapy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload of patients in the community, using evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Supervise junior staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards of practice.
  • Contribute to the clinical and professional development of the Physiotherapy service, including the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new services and initiatives, ensuring they meet the needs of patients and the community.
Requirements
  • Graduate diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Previous experience in a community rehabilitation setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
