Adult Audiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Audiologist to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As an Adult Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality audiological care and management to patients referred from various professional groups, including ENT and other consultants, paediatricians, General Practitioners, and primary care professionals.

• Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, including behavioural, cognitive, emotional, psychological, and physical assessments, to diagnose and inform prognosis.
• Develop and implement individual aural rehabilitation strategies to optimise patient communication abilities, enhancing the potential for social integration and improved wellbeing.
• Prescribe and fit a full range of NHS hearing instruments and assistive listening devices, ensuring accurate placement and patient comfort.
• Perform real ear measures and take accurate aural impressions to select the appropriate ear mould configuration and material.
• Undertake routine hearing aid repair clinics/sessions and refer and coordinate with other relevant professional agencies to ensure an integrated holistic approach.

• Registration with the Academy of Healthcare Science/RCCP as a Clinical Physiologist.
• Experience in audiological care and management, including aural rehabilitation and hearing instrument prescription.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, in accordance with recognised professional and Trust standards.
