About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Voscur. As a Community Practitioner for Mental Health in Education, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioral difficulties.
  • Work closely with professionals, children and young people, families, and the wider school community to influence the whole school culture in relation to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement Whole School Approach (WSA) activities to promote mental health and wellbeing in schools.
  • Conduct assessments and provide supervision to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to mental health support.

Requirements:

  • Hold a CYP IAPT Educational Mental Health Practitioner (PGDip/GradDip Mental Health Practice in Education Settings) qualification.
  • Have a strong understanding of mental health and wellbeing in children and young people.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with professionals, children and young people, and families.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
