We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team at Wren Kitchens Limited. Main Responsibilities:- Transportation Management: Assist our transport management team in the efficient management of the transportation function, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements and that drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations.
- Trunking Operation: Ensure that the trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible throughout the evening, including the management of drivers and the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements, including regular checks and maintenance schedules.
- Driver Support: Assist drivers with tasks in the transport yard when required, including the loading and unloading of vehicles and the management of driver hours.
- Incident Investigation: Thoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents, and near misses, and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
- Training and Development: Assist the training team with the addition of new drivers to the transport department and support the transport manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers.
