Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team at Strive Supply Chain LLP. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transport fleet, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Transport Operations: Organize and manage the transport workforce, delegate tasks, and address day-to-day staffing issues as necessary.
- Driver Management: Manage the Portbury driver workforce in line with company policy, including disciplinary actions, absence management, and driver standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Distribution Team to resolve breakdowns and delays, and gather feedback to enhance operational performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and Health and Safety procedures, and conduct regular checks to maintain high standards.
- Performance Improvement: Work with the Driver Trainer to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance driving standards and reduce costs.
- Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and key information to optimize operational performance.
- Experience: Previous experience in managing a driver workforce, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems and software to manage transport operations and driver performance.
