Position Overview

We are representing Tech Connect Group, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, in the search for a detail-oriented and skilled Cost Estimation Specialist to enhance their Business Development division. This role will report to the Commercial Manager and is pivotal in the quoting and planning processes within the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer Documentation Analysis: Accurately interpret customer drawings and specifications during the quotation phase.
  • Cost Analysis for Manufacturing: Develop comprehensive cost assessments for machined parts and intricate pipe assemblies, including the necessary bill of materials for client quotations.
  • Manufacturing Process Documentation: Generate thorough process sheets that encompass all required operations and adhere to customer contract stipulations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular discussions with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the dissemination of current information across the organization.
  • Performance Evaluation: Execute margin assessments and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
  • Quoting System Enhancement: Collaborate with teams in Commercial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Epicor to refine the quoting system for precise and user-friendly quote generation.
  • Preparation of Commercial Proposals: Partner with colleagues across various locations to prepare comprehensive proposals.
  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients to finalize and secure quoted projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in cost estimation within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong capability in interpreting engineering drawings and complex bills of materials.
  • Proficient IT skills, especially in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience in ERP systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
