Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimating Engineer to join our Business Development team at Tech Connect Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for machined components and complex pipe assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for machined components and complex pipe assemblies, including the bill of materials required for customer quotations.
  • Create detailed production and manufacturing process sheets to ensure all processes are included and comply with customer contract requirements.
  • Conduct margin analysis and explore cost reduction opportunities to improve our quoting module.
  • Collaborate with our Commercial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Epicor Teams to enhance the quoting module for accurate and user-friendly quote generation.
  • Work with team members across various UK and International sites to prepare commercial proposals.

Requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office packages, with ERP experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
