Aerospace Estimating Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer to join our Business Development team in Farnborough. As an Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for machined components and complex pipe assemblies, including the bill of materials required for customer quotations.

  • Manufacturing Cost Estimates: Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Production/Manufacturing Process Sheets: Create detailed process sheets ensuring all processes are included and comply with customer contract requirements.
  • Product Performance Assessment: Conduct margin analysis and explore cost reduction opportunities.
  • Quoting Module Development: Collaborate with the Commercial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Epicor Teams to enhance the quoting module for accurate and user-friendly quote generation.
  • Commercial Proposals Preparation: Work with team members across various UK and International sites.
Requirements:
  1. Proven estimating experience within aerospace engineering.
  2. Strong understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and complex BOMs.
  3. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office packages, with ERP experience.
