About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients, visitors, and relatives to the clinical area, providing assistance, support, and information where required.
  • Accurately and promptly carry out instructions from Registered Nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the handover of patient care within the team, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Report and record incidents, accidents, and complaints using trust systems, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Support patients' emotional well-being by engaging in positive conversations and encouraging participation in ward-based activities.
  • Accurately document all care delivered to patients, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to trust policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education to GCSE level Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate and/or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Previous experience in a nursing or care assistant role.
  • Clear oral communication and basic computer skills.
  • Polite, courteous, and caring personality, with a sensitive and tolerant approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and respond positively to change.
