We are seeking a dedicated and HCPC Registered Advanced Speech and Language Therapy Specialist to collaborate within our Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT). This role is integral to our innovative service model, which aims to enhance the quality of care pathways and training initiatives while fostering a culture of research and community engagement.

  • Providing expert assessment and therapy for adults with acquired communication disorders and dysphagia, as well as those with neurological conditions.
  • Engaging in a diverse range of duties, including specialist evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and management of our stroke patient population.
  • Contributing to service development and participating in training and research initiatives, supported by the Haywood Hospital Therapies Portfolio and the Adult SLT team.
  • Assessing complex care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating tailored care packages.
  • Assuming supervisory and leadership roles when appropriate, with responsibilities for team performance and service enhancement.

About Our Organization

By joining Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting our communities. In return, we offer:

  • Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
  • A comprehensive NHS Pension scheme.
  • Generous parental leave policies.
  • Flexible working options.
  • Up to 27 days of annual leave, increasing with service, along with the option to purchase additional leave.
  • Extensive health and wellbeing resources.
  • Compensation for travel time between community visits.
  • A lease car option for those exceeding 500 business miles annually, fully insured and maintained.
  • Salary sacrifice options for vehicles and bicycles.
  • Complimentary parking at all trust locations.
  • Annual flu vaccinations at no cost.
  • Access to Citizens Advice support linked to a Hardship Fund for additional assistance.

We take pride in being a diverse and inclusive organization, offering various staff networks to connect with like-minded individuals.
