We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing identified speech, language, and communication delays/disorders in different community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage communication difficulties in children across various settings.
- Advise and support parents/carers in understanding their child's communication needs and treatment options.
- Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapy colleagues to develop and deliver a service that meets the identified needs of children referred to the service.
- Work with medical, nursing, social, and educational professionals to ensure they understand a child's communication profile and develop strategies to support their development.
- Provide written programs of work and reports for children on your caseload as required.
- Represent the department at meetings related to children on your caseload.
- Attend relevant in-service training courses and Trust statutory mandatory training.
- Degree in Speech/Language Therapy or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- HCPC registration.
- UK experience.
- Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy experience during clinical placement.
- Understanding of Information Governance, data protection, HCPC, and RCSLT standards and safeguarding children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to team working.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to deadlines.
