About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Buttons, a residential children and young people's home in Swindon. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, who have complex physical or learning disabilities, and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our residents with daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Lead the shift team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
  • Implement care plans to establish routine and ensure the residents feel safe and stable.
  • Administer medication (if required) and support residents with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids.
  • Work closely with the team to meet the needs of the service and attend mandatory training.
Requirements
  • Level 3 NVQ or Level 3 diploma in residential childcare (England) (RQ) or be willing to work towards after probation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, planning, and communication skills.
  • Flexible, professional, and positive approach.
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
