About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support other staff in the overall management and organisation of the home to ensure its smooth and efficient running.
  • Help to establish an atmosphere in which children can thrive, with good basic structures, be supported, stimulated, and provided with opportunities to achieve their full potential.
  • Implement established care plans for children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Participate in individual and group recreational activities, promoting independence and life skills.
  • Provide basic needs for children, including assistance with feeding, dressing, toileting, and washing/bathing.
  • Act as a link worker to a small number of individuals, providing support and guidance.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and training events.
  • Help develop community involvement and understanding.
  • Bring to the attention of Seniors the needs of both children and the establishment as a whole.
  • Undertake specific tasks delegated by the manager related to the running of the establishment.
Requirements
  • Strong organisational, time management, planning, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs.
  • Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
