About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police to provide high-quality care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in acute medical healthcare and be a qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic. Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner would be ideal.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and lively environment, with no two days the same. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Job Opportunity

This is an alternative career option open to RGNs and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post-qualification experience. You will work in a 4-on-4-off rota pattern, giving you the ability to plan your personal life months in advance.

The role is based within Maidenhead Police Custody Suite, and you will be responsible for forensic sampling, signposting and conducting referrals, delivering substance misuse therapies, and assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites.
