About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

With a strong focus on patient-centered care, you will work closely with the police and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive range of services, including forensic sampling, substance misuse therapies, and acute disease management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to detainees in a forensic custody setting
  • Conduct forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies and support patients with vulnerabilities
  • Assess and care for detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Manage acute diseases and promote good personal healthcare
  • Work with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs

You will be working in a collaborative environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centers, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, or prison settings would be highly beneficial.
