Job Overview

**Job Title:** Head of Procurement

We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join our team at Layer 8 Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our vendor relationships, driving commercial efficiency, and supporting our Sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen existing relationships with vendors through regular meetings and strategic alignment.
  • Create new relationships and onboard new vendors where appropriate, maximizing partner incentives and programs.
  • Drive commercial efficiency and continuous improvement across our procurement function.
  • Support the Sales team and bid manager with bids, deal registration, and negotiation.
  • Build and manage a procurement team function within our business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced SME IT Service Provider environment.
  • Proven experience managing IT tech vendors and relationships.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and high energy.
  • Confident in challenging the status quo.

Partners You'll Manage

  • Strategic Vendors: Cisco, Extreme, Forescout, Fortinet.
  • Telco Carriers: BT, Virgin, Openreach.
  • Critical Applications: Oracle Netsuite, SolarWinds, ServiceNow.

Location

This is a hybrid role, with frequent travel to vendor meetings and occasional visits to our West Midlands office.
