About the Role:

The Planning Team Leader will be responsible for leading and developing a team of planners to ensure successful delivery of planning activities and KONE goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 7 planners to ensure successful delivery of planning activities and KONE goals.
  • Managing teams' performance, objectives, and setting goals.
  • Developing planning practices and processes for KONE Major Projects.
  • Developing and creating Major Projects programmes for unique buildings with complexity of delivering to Central London.
  • Ensuring that program-related risks are understood and effectively managed to support our business.
  • Ensuring your team successfully carries out duties such as:
    • Producing and managing complex tender programmes.
    • Producing and controlling schedule baseline, fully logic-linked, cost, and resource-loaded plans.
    • Working with the project team and minimizing company risk by identifying the critical path for contracts.
    • Ensuring plans are updated to an agreed timeframe.
    • Coordinating and producing reports to a defined reporting cycle.
    • Producing analysis indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
    • Resource planning, maintaining workload scheduling, minimizing contractual abatement.
    • Conducting regular site visits with the Project Managers.
    • Liaising with contractors/site workers and updating info on a daily basis.
    • Timely submission of the Baseline and site plans to meet contractual requirements.
    • Creating and monitoring KPIs and producing weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven team management and development experience.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver to deadlines.
  • Detailed understanding of planning and construction methodologies, techniques, site logistics, and phasing plans.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Lifts and construction industry experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to create tender programmes.
  • Good negotiation, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
  • Effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Understanding contractual differences (NEC, JCT).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software; A-site, Asta, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and SAP.
