Job Description

G R Carr (Essex) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in the Fabrication Shop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing welding operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welding Operations: Perform welding operations on carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steel, using different techniques and processes as required by the contract.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Ensure all welding tools and equipment are in safe working order, and perform daily routine maintenance checks on all welding plant and equipment.
  • Quality and Productivity: Maintain a high level of quality and productivity in your work, and adhere to the Company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work as an integral part of a team, and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the Fabrication Shop.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Welder is preferred.
  • Certifications: CSCS/CCNSG certification is required.
  • Attitude and Approach: A positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to work are essential.

  • Competitive Rate: A competitive rate of pay, starting from £22.00 per hour (PAYE), with negotiable rates for self-employed individuals.
  • Contract Specific Overtime: Contract specific overtime available.
  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days' holiday, including Bank/Public Holidays.
