Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated Innovation Account Executive to become a vital member of our dynamic Commercial team. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about fostering connections and have a talent for identifying fresh prospects within the climate-tech and sustainability landscape.
Daily Responsibilities:
In this role, your typical day may involve:
- Crafting and dispatching outreach communications
- Engaging in discussions with startups
- Managing our CRM system
- Conducting prospecting activities on professional networks
- Analyzing campaign outcomes
- Participating in industry events
Role Significance:
The Innovation Account Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Startup Innovation and the Business Development Lead in managing our opportunity pipeline. The primary focus will be on both inbound and outbound sales initiatives related to our service offerings, necessitating close collaboration with our design, research and development, and grants teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Executing outreach campaigns, including crafting messages, scheduling emails, and building contact databases
- Meeting with startups to assess their potential and directing them to appropriate departments
- Managing deal flow through our CRM, converting leads into opportunities
- Handling inbound inquiries via web forms
- Attending external events for startup scouting
- Coordinating with internal teams
- Account Management:
- Building and nurturing relationships with a portfolio of ecosystem companies
- Identifying new support avenues for these companies
- Assisting with CRM administration and follow-ups
- Representing our organization at internal events
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in similar roles
- Proven sales experience in both inbound and outbound contexts
- Familiarity with CRM and outreach tools such as Pipedrive and LinkedIn
- A strong drive to meet and exceed targets
- Confidence in making outbound communications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in agency business development
- Background in sustainability innovation
- Desire to learn about various functions within our organization
Compensation and Benefits:
