About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Swaffham & Downham Primary Care Network. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our GPs and Clinical Pharmacist in delivering high-quality clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacist with medicines reconciliation and update patient medical records/prescribing accordingly.
  • Assist in providing medication reviews and structure medication reviews.
  • Support medication reviews and medicines reconciliation for new care home patients and synchronise medicines for patient transfers between care settings.
  • Assist in the delivery of medicines optimisation and management incentive schemes and patient safety audits in line with CQC search criteria.
  • Support the PCN and practice in delivering on DES specifications, QOF, and other locally commissioned enhanced services.

Person Specification

  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional development.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office software.
  • Advanced numeracy skills to GCSE Level C or above.
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrable excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding, acceptance, and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, and common sense.
  • Willingness to be trained and developed.
  • Experience of dealing with the public/patients.
  • Ability to work at part of an integrated multi-skilled team.
