About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of primary school students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities, covering classes in the teacher's absence.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, addressing specific learning needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver creative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behavior and attitudes.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing diverse learning needs.
  • Creativity and adaptability to design and implement engaging learning activities.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
