Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customs and Import Specialist to join our team at KC Recruitment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with national and international suppliers and agents to arrange freight deliveries and collections between ports, airports, and warehouses.
- Keep clients up to date and deal with problems or delays.
- Manage freight bookings using a CDS computer Declarations system.
- Preparing customs documents for shipment.
- Ensure compliance of various documents with appropriate standards.
- Transfer documents to customs brokers.
- Ensure technical and administrative liaison for the movement of goods.
- Check that tax and customs documents are correct.
- Work with national and international suppliers and agents.
- Handle invoices and payments.
- Arrange for the shipment of goods into and/or out of the country.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation including quotes, invoices, customs clearances, receipts, and other documents.
- Track shipments and ensure the distribution of goods.
Requirements
- You need to have c 2 years of the above tasks.
- You will have come from a Shipping, import, export, logistics, transportation background.
- Able to work on a variety of tasks until the job is done.
- Good customer service experience. Be polite and patient.
- Problem solver and able to work on your own initiative.
- Car owner / driver is needed due to location.
