Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to lead our Toilet Division at our Castleford Depot. This role involves overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise toilet service drivers, distributing work effectively to ensure timely cleaning and servicing of units to meet hire requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding breakdowns, maintaining daily breakdown records, monitoring response times, and reporting to the Depot Manager.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet company objectives, considering factors such as holidays and staff absences.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of returned units to identify any damages (including graffiti) and accurately record them.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery/collection/exchange paperwork and ensure workshop paperwork is received upon job completion and filed appropriately.
  • Enforce daily vehicle checks by drivers and promptly address any reported defects.
  • Process parts requisitions, raise purchase orders for necessary goods, follow up on deliveries to minimize downtime, and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Package and dispatch goods to customers, suppliers, or other depots as required.
  • Ensure new units are thoroughly tested before being added to the fleet, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and maintaining detailed records of checks.
  • Maintain a secure and organized Toilet Yard, clearly marking designated areas and ensuring proper storage of units, toilets, and parts. Uphold a clean and hazard-free environment in the works office and yard areas.
  • Comply with all company procedures, particularly Health & Safety directives and PPE requirements. Conduct regular training sessions or toolbox talks to address safety concerns and ensure staff awareness of potential hazards.
