Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Coordinator to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to coordinate and manage clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage clinical trials, including site initiation, patient recruitment, and data collection
  • Work closely with site investigators and local clinical specialist nurses to introduce and initiate clinical trial work in the hospital
  • Ensure all relevant information is documented in the patient's medical notes
  • Responsible for the collection, coordination, and computerization of data generated from the clinical trials
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Health Sciences field
  • Knowledge and experience of handling complex relationships
  • Experience of research in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of working with people with neurodegenerative diseases and their carers
  • Experience of collaborating with other agencies
  • Evidence of continuous personal, professional, and academic development
  • Basic knowledge of recent NHS legislation and recommendations in the field of neurosciences
  • Awareness of changing trends within healthcare
  • Aware of current legislation regarding research governance issues
  • Understanding of the needs and capabilities of people with neurodegenerative diseases and their carers
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP
Skills and Competencies
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work autonomously using own initiative, and as a member of a small team, as well as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work across boundaries, integrating with multidisciplinary staff
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize and plan
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of accuracy to detail in data collection
  • Analytical skills to analyze and present data
  • Teaching skills
  • Ability to develop word processing, report writing, and presentational skills
  • Some experience in administrative tasks/minute taking
