Job Title: Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Worker to join our team at GSL Education. As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a personalized learning experience for students, promoting social and academic progress.
  • Assist with personal care where necessary, ensuring the well-being and dignity of students.
  • Support the delivery of lessons, following the direction of the class teacher, and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work alongside other education professionals, such as Education Psychologists and Social Workers, to provide comprehensive support.
  • Behaviour Management and Intervention Support, promoting positive relationships and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of experience supporting adults or young people with additional needs, such as Physical Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Social and Emotional Mental Health, Aggression, PMLD, Dementia, Anxiety, Self Harm, Autism, ADHD, Learning and Medical Difficulties, Attachment Disorder, and LAC/Residential backgrounds.
  • A calm and caring demeanor, with a positive outlook on life.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Commitment to 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only, with no flexibility in hours or days.
