Procurement Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide support to our Senior Buyers and procurement management team for project purchasing activities. The Procurement Specialist will functionally report to the Section Head or equivalent and operationally report to the Project Procurement Manager or equivalent.

Internally, you will work closely with Buyers, Section Head, Project Procurement Manager, Engineering, Project Manager, Legal, Finance, Expediter, Inspector, and Logistics. Externally, you will interact with Suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfilling simple inquiring and purchasing activities within time and budget
  • Ensuring availability of necessary information for issuing inquiries
  • Preparing purchase order documents in a timely manner and ensuring quality check
  • Following up and expediting as necessary
  • Supporting negotiations with vendors within established guidelines
  • Assisting more senior colleagues as requested, whilst receiving support from more senior buyers, PPM, and Section Heads as required
  • Executing activities in full compliance with procurement principles and project procurement requirements and strategies
