We are seeking an experienced Oceanfreight Import/Export Clerk to join our client's growing team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing oceanfreight shipments from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage oceanfreight shipments, including import and export operations
  • Quoting and following up on quotations for oceanfreight services
  • Opening and closing files, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Producing relevant oceanfreight documents, including customs entries
  • Liaising with carriers to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients
  • Maintaining IATA certification and adhering to industry standards
  • Ensuring attention to detail in all aspects of oceanfreight operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in oceanfreight operations
  • Import and export experience, with a strong understanding of customs regulations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • IATA certification and a strong attention to detail
