About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Property Help Desk Operator to join our team at Reed. As the first point of contact for schools, academies, and client departments, you will be responsible for resolving a wide range of complex issues related to facilities within buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of County Council departments and their services to effectively resolve information provision enquiries.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for resolving customer queries at the first point of contact, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Accurately capture and input data obtained from customers into the Property Management System, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identify potential complaints and proactively address them through appropriate customer service centre and corporate procedures.
  • Effectively manage department frameworks for contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of maintenance and repair issues.
  • Liaise and collaborate with technical teams within the department to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
  • Verify prices charged by contractors to ensure compliance with agreed rates and order values.
  • Monitor budgets for repairs and maintenance, ensuring effective management and optimization.
  • Assist with safe evacuation procedures of County Hall, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as required, utilizing your skills and expertise to support the team.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on resolving complex issues.
  • Experience in managing contractor frameworks and understanding of maintenance budgets.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
