About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of essential data infrastructure for the organization. As a key member of our data engineering function, you will work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to design and implement scalable and efficient ML-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist a team of data engineers to drive data pipeline development and ETLs.
  • Design and build critical data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop and implement scalable and efficient ML-based solutions.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to foster growth and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
  • Proven commercial experience in data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETLs.
  • Strong Python coding skills and experience with modern development methods and tooling.
  • Proficiency in GCP, including Datastream, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataform, and BigQuery.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes/K8s), CI/CD, version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab), and orchestration/DAGs tools (Argo, Airflow, Kubeflow).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) expertise.
