Position: Senior Project Coordinator (Client-side // Real Estate Development)

Location: Central London

Compensation: £60,000 - £70,000 plus performance-related bonuses and additional benefits

Capstone Property Recruitment is on the lookout for a skilled and driven Senior Project Coordinator to become part of a dynamic team of agile, highly experienced professionals dedicated to delivering development management services to prominent investors in the UK property sector. The projects encompass intricate mixed-use developments, residential properties, and commercial refurbishments in Central London, as well as ventures in urban industrial and logistics domains. The organization is actively seeking collaborative partnerships to broaden its portfolio in these sectors.

Role Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Project Coordination on a variety of initiatives. This role requires a genuine enthusiasm for the industry and a commitment to driving innovation. The individual will oversee multiple projects, ensuring that the highest standards of quality are maintained within established budgetary limits. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing design, planning, procurement, construction, and post-completion phases
  • Monitoring costs in conjunction with internal finance teams and external quantity surveyors, including detailed analysis of reports and figures
  • Conducting tender evaluations, procurement processes, and the selection and appointment of contractors
  • Choosing, procuring, and appointing consultants and subcontractors
  • Managing consultants and contractors to uphold the highest standards, benchmarking against industry best practices to ensure optimal value
  • Promoting innovation in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, and implementing sustainable solutions and proven technologies
  • Fostering a passion for place-making
  • Ensuring project timelines are adhered to by leading and driving project initiatives
  • Providing regular updates and presentations on project progress
  • Monitoring the quality of project delivery

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in project coordination, successfully delivering projects of significant scale within the property sector, particularly in commercial and industrial development.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Expertise in stakeholder management with exceptional communication and emotional intelligence
  • Experience managing all facets of a project from inception through to completion, covering both pre- and post-contract phases
  • Ability to appoint consultants, prepare scopes of service, negotiate and finalize fees, comprehend legal terms, draft building contracts, and review third-party agreements
  • Independent project management experience with oversight and guidance from project leadership
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a curious mindset and strong opinions
  • Understanding of the development management process
  • Familiarity with third-party processes, including planning
