We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Technical Services Manager at 5S Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our extrusion operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimisation and Performance: Ensure all extrusion equipment, including machines, robots, conveyors, and tooling, operate efficiently, meeting targeted Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and material usage goals.
- Team Leadership: Manage the daily activities of extrusion setters and provide guidance to the Plastic Processing Department.
- Tooling and Equipment Management: Oversee the procurement and introduction of new tooling and equipment, ensuring all setting parameters and tooling records are maintained.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to develop competency across the team, utilizing a skills matrix to identify and address training needs.
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Plastic Processing Extrusion environment.
- ONC/HNC in Production Engineering or Engineering Management.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve key performance indicators and manage budgets effectively.
- Experience in a seasonal business or with plastic processing is advantageous.
- Exceptional people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- High integrity and professionalism, with a commercial mindset and the ability to appreciate the impact of your actions on the business.
