Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Assistant to join our busy Payments Team within the Finance department. As an AP Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service is provided to our members, brokers, and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payment Processing: Work as part of a team to ensure payments are made correctly and in a timely manner, in line with internal approval guidelines and authority limits.
  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare and link supporting documentation for each payment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Team Support: Take turns on team rotas if required, cover other payment roles as necessary, and provide support to new team members where required.
  • Query Resolution: Deal with initial internal and external queries in a timely manner, escalating if required, and provide clear and concise responses.
  • General Administration: Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Software Utilization: Use banking and accounting software to process payments, manage data, and generate reports.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Attend team and finance meetings, identify errors, and provide necessary backups and reports for correction.
