About the Role:

EFAB Resourcing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Lead Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex civil and structural projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Access Platform Design: Design and implement safe and efficient access platforms, ladders, and stairs for construction sites.
  2. Blast Fire Protection Design: Develop and implement blast fire protection designs to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
  3. Connection Design: Design and specify bolted and welded connections for various structural elements.
  4. Foundation Design: Design and develop foundation systems for buildings and structures.
  5. Fatigue Design: Conduct fatigue analysis and design to ensure the structural integrity of components.
  6. Framed Structures: Design and develop framed structures for various applications.
  7. Geotechnical Design: Conduct geotechnical design and analysis for piling, retaining walls, and other geotechnical systems.
  8. Hoisting and Lifting Equipment: Design and specify hoisting and lifting equipment for construction sites.
  9. Reinforced Concrete Design: Design and develop reinforced concrete structures using EC2 and BS8110 standards.
  10. Seismic Design: Conduct seismic design and analysis to ensure the structural integrity of buildings and structures.
  11. Steelwork Design: Design and develop steelwork structures using BS5950 and EC3 standards.
  12. Structural Supports: Design and specify structural supports for pipes and equipment.
  13. Temporary Works: Design and implement temporary works for shoring, excavations, and propping.
  14. Underground Drainage Design: Design and develop underground drainage systems.
  15. Wind Loading Assessment: Conduct wind loading assessment and design to ensure the structural integrity of buildings and structures.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of a degree or master's degree in a related field.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and Navisworks.
  4. Experience with design software such as Tekla TEDDS.
  5. Experience with analysis software such as ROBOT, STAAD Pro, and IDEA StatiCa.
