Job Title: Pre-Construction Manager - EV Charging

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Offices in Manchester)

Job Description:

Turner Lovell is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join a Principal Contractor on multiple ICP (EV) projects in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction, with a focus on renewable energy and electrical vehicle projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pre-construction plans, working closely with project, design, commercial, health and safety, and engineering teams.
  • Provide robust management skills in work planning, engineering design, procurement, resource allocation, client and local authority approvals, and dispute resolution for the pre-construction phases of work.
  • Lead client interface activities and ownership of deliverables in relation to the pre-construction scopes of work.
  • Ensure a high standard of health and safety is maintained throughout the project, liaising with the EHS department.
  • Manage stakeholders and subcontractors, and communicate detailed project updates to the client and internal organization.
  • Gain legal consents required and ensure contractual agreements and regulatory compliances are adhered to throughout the project.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering or similar related field.
  • 3+ years of management experience within the UK renewable energy industry or construction industry.
  • Experience working on EV projects or similar is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to commute to site/offices when required.
  • Project Management related qualification or training is desirable (APM, PRINCE2, or PMI).
