Morgan Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in shaping our company culture and ensuring the success of our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Provide support to managers and supervisors in maintaining a healthy working environment, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absenteeism, and flexible working applications. Lead union meetings, ensure actions are followed, and record notes. Deputise for the HR Manager as needed.
- Employee Engagement: Coordinate and drive a successful employee engagement program, including organizing employee meetings, facilitating open communication through newsletters, arranging events with external stakeholders and charities, and ensuring all employees are informed of company goals.
- Shape Company Culture: Assist the HR Manager and leadership teams in developing and implementing new HR policies and long-term business improvement projects.
- Drive Compliance & Audit: Ensure GDPR compliance, complete audits, and ensure all reports are updated on our systems.
- Training & Development: Support managers with site-wide training programs, maintain the annual training plan, and communicate any changes to employment law or company policies. Support recruitment, onboarding, and inductions for new starters.
- Payroll: Support payroll processing activities and manage any enquiries.
Requirements
- Experience as a HR Advisor/Generalist/Business Partner in a unionized environment.
- CIPD qualified or significant industry experience.
- Passionate about HR, driving change, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Union experience – essential.
- Manufacturing experience – preferred.
- Confident and willing to challenge the norm and drive improvement initiatives.
