About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is in search of a committed and empathetic Student Well-Being Support Assistant to become part of our dedicated team, working within educational institutions across Liverpool. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the emotional and social development of students, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
- Design and implement initiatives aimed at improving student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and external organizations to formulate customized support strategies for students.
- Assist in delivering personal development programs, including mental health education, anti-bullying campaigns, and essential life skills training.
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining comprehensive records of interventions and outcomes.
- Support the safeguarding team in recognizing and addressing child protection concerns, ensuring the safety and welfare of all students.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering respect and understanding among students.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational context is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting young individuals.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively, managing a diverse workload with a composed and professional demeanor.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or social work is advantageous.
- An enhanced DBS check and registration on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
