Key Responsibilities- Enhance technical controls to ensure they are effective and efficient.
- Test business-wide IT controls against an annual schedule to ensure compliance.
- Support information assurance partners to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct thorough reviews of control statements for scheme attestations.
- Collaborate with technical operations, supplier management, and operational resilience teams to identify and mitigate risks.
- Work with key stakeholders to embed information security knowledge from a controls perspective.
- Take ownership of assurance activities related to technical controls.
- Continuously enhance technical controls using knowledge of contemporary risks and controls.
- Financial services, fintech, or accountancy/consultancy sector background with experience in technical IT controls and IT risk.
- Knowledge of what constitutes a good control and ability to effectively test controls.
- Understanding of core technology and information security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001).
- Excellent articulative ability to communicate complex ideas.
- Demonstrable experience working in IT audit, IT risk management, technical controls testing/management, and IT assurance related roles.
- Experience in an IT assurance role.
- Experience testing controls and enhancing information security and IT Risk policies.
- Relevant industry certifications are desirable, as is the drive to achieve them.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Competitive salary: £45,000 - £63,000 per annum.
- Performance Bonus: up to 25% of annual salary.
