Service Desk Analyst Opportunity

Big Red Recruitment Midlands Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join a well-established team for a large UK Manufacturing company based in the Loughborough area.

Job Summary

The Service Desk function provides first-line support for all colleagues within the business, handling application issues, communication, and hardware queries from all levels. As the first point of contact for individuals across the organisation, you will be responsible for providing an efficient, personalised support service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing timely and effective support to business users
  • Ensuring work is correctly prioritised and actioned to meet business service levels agreements and deadlines
  • Actioning tickets promptly in a professional service-led manner
  • Resolving and closing tickets at the first point of contact wherever possible
  • Remaining calm, focussed, and professional in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • Experience of 1st line IT support or equivalent
  • Experience of troubleshooting queries in areas such as Windows, MS Office, and hardware faults
  • Experience of a ticket logging system
  • A strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent communication and people-handling skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
What We Offer

A competitive day rate of £180 per day inside IR35, with a 6-month contract. The role involves hybrid working, with two days per week in the Loughborough area.
