Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Prax Group. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of deliveries are met for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Schedules and Utilize Resources Efficiently: You will be responsible for delivering schedules, utilizing resources efficiently, and fulfilling customer expectations.
  • Establish and Develop Good Working Relationships: You will establish and develop good working relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, drivers, transport managers, sales teams, and third-party contractors.
  • Maximize Customer Service: You will ensure customer service is maximized and issues are dealt with to maintain high service levels, communicating directly with customers as necessary.
  • Manage Driver Operational Queries: You will manage all driver operational/delivery queries in a timely and professional manner, re-routing, scheduling, and arranging deliveries accordingly.
  • Input Releases into Terminal Systems: You will input releases into terminal systems, providing support to fuel schedulers and the transport manager.
  • Monitor Driver Performance: You will monitor driver performance closely to ensure deliveries are made in line with agreements and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide Support to Customers: You will provide support to all customers, assist with event investigation and resolution of issues, and work closely with drivers and customers to minimize the impact to our business in the event of incidents.
  • Assist with Administrative Processes: You will assist with administrative processes, including payroll and POD record keeping.

Requirements:

  • Proven Ability in Order and Dispatch Environment: You will have proven ability of working in an order and dispatch environment that is customer service focused, together with experience of vehicle scheduling.
  • Leadership and Ownership: You will be prepared to take the lead and ownership of the operation.
  • Communication and Prioritization: You will be able to prioritize, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively.
  • Customer Focus: You will have a strong sense of customer focus.
  • Geographical Knowledge: You will have strong UK geographical knowledge.
  • IT Literacy: You will be IT literate to an intermediate standard (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Team Player: You will be a team player.
  • Adaptability: You will be adaptable to new systems and processes.
  • Attention to Detail: You will have attention to detail and application of prevailing business processes.
