Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Upper GI Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist team on a fixed-term basis. This position is to cover a maternity leave from September 2024 to July 2025.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist who can demonstrate good clinical and assessment skills, as well as an understanding of the National Optimal Pathways for Upper GI Cancers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working autonomously, and leading by example. They will also be expected to develop clinically reasoned treatment plans and evaluate treatment outcomes.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Deliver high standards of professional practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care
  • Develop and implement clinically reasoned treatment plans
  • Lead by example and support the team in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Develop and evaluate treatment outcomes
  • Support and contribute to the team in ensuring compliance with CQC and contractual requirements
