Job Summary

To drive forward the transformation of CMHT care across the North and Mid Hampshire Mental Health Services, aligning with policies and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead healthcare and promote a culture based on recovery, choice, and personalized care, empowering service users to be active in decision-making.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure effective transitions of care and joint working.
  • Work in partnership with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality care.
  • Deploy the service's capacity to meet demand, ensuring service users flow through pathways of care according to need.
  • Ensure the service operates in line with agreed pathways, policies, and guidelines, focusing on delivery of outcomes.
  • Coordinate the management of senior multidisciplinary operational team leaders, ensuring effective training, professional development, and supervision.
  • Manage financial resources efficiently, aligning with agreed plans or budgets.

Person Specification
  • Professional health or social services qualification (RMN, OT, CQSW, DipSW)
  • Evidence of ongoing, relevant professional development
  • Recognized management training/development
  • Ability to lead and develop a team in providing safe and effective mental health services
  • Commitment to delivering recovery-oriented services
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage service capacity effectively
  • Ability to act as the service lead for governance, including CQC compliance/registration
  • Ability to understand and manage resources
  • Ability to work as part of a wider area and Directorate team to deliver consistent high standards of care across AMH
  • Ability to problem-solve and create a positive team attitude
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Personalisation, and other legislation
  • Intermediate IT skills
