Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Sister/Clinical Lead to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Sister/Clinical Lead will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
  • Conducting ward audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Providing education and training to nursing staff

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification
  • Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing studies
  • 2 years post-qualification experience in an acute setting
  • Experience of caring for patients with acute and long-term conditions
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use vital signs monitoring equipment

Desirable Criteria

It would be beneficial if you have experience of:

  • Acute surgical experience
  • Male catheterisation
  • ECG recording
  • Venepuncture and cannulation
