Job Title: Lead Events and Sales Strategist - Hospitality

Location: London

Salary: 43-45k plus bonus and benefits

As a pivotal member of our team at Change Hospitality, you will oversee and direct all facets of the Meetings & Events Sales division, ensuring that the department not only meets but surpasses budgetary targets, maximizes revenue and profitability from conferences and events, and adheres to operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership and Motivation:
    • Inspire and guide the team to deliver exceptional customer service while achieving departmental and organizational goals.
    • Foster a sales-driven culture within the department, identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities.
  2. Client and Event Management:
    • Facilitate site visits for meeting organizers or clients to showcase our venue.
    • Maintain comprehensive client information and requirements, ensuring effective communication with relevant departments.
    • Deliver prompt and courteous responses to all inquiries, adhering to established service standards.
  3. Sales and Revenue Strategy:
    • Develop and communicate clear sales and revenue strategies tailored to varying demand levels.
    • Establish guidelines for optimizing meeting space in collaboration with Food & Beverage, Sales, and Revenue Management teams.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Ensure the team comprehends performance metrics in relation to budget and forecasts.
    • Set daily and weekly targets, sharing financial insights with the team.
    • Monitor top producers, addressing any performance gaps or opportunities for growth.
  5. Client Engagement:
    • Proactively reach out to existing clients to secure repeat business.
    • Engage in regular revenue meetings, ensuring comprehensive revenue considerations.
    • Share insights on revenue trends and forecasts to support revenue-enhancing initiatives.
  6. System and Process Management:
    • Maintain accurate data within existing systems, developing and monitoring standard operating procedures.
    • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends, providing feedback to the Sales department.
  7. Sales Opportunities:
    • Maximize sales opportunities in alignment with the hotel's strategic business plan.
    • Participate in client events and coordinate promotional offers in accordance with hotel strategy.
  8. Staff Recruitment and Development:
    • Recruit, onboard, and train team members to meet business objectives.
    • Develop tailored training plans for each team member and fulfill special duties as needed.
  9. Duty Management/Events Management and Planning:
    • Conduct Senior Duty Manager shifts as required.
    • Oversee all online MICE platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Sales & Marketing Manager's approval.
    • Prepare detailed event sheets and personally greet clients on event days.
    • Collaborate with all departments, including culinary teams, to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Manage relationships with external suppliers.
  10. Compliance and Standards:
    • Adhere to company dress code and appearance standards, ensuring team compliance.
