SEND Senior Case Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND Senior Case Manager to join our SEND Team within Children's Services at Wokingham Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development journey of our SEND Team, making a positive impact on the experiences and outcomes of children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

As the SEND Senior Case Manager, you will be responsible for line managing a team of SEND Casework Practitioners, working in partnership with key stakeholders, including children and young people, their families, and educational settings. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct line management of SEND Casework Practitioners, responsible for all aspects of the SEND journey, from EHC needs assessments to annual reviews.
  • Developing and managing high-quality EHCPs and case work, through participation in an innovative SEND Audit programme.
  • Deputising for the SEND Practice Manager when required, with opportunities for career development.
  • Working in partnership to build strong and proactive relationships with all stakeholders, including children & young people, their families and educational settings.
  • At all times promoting safeguarding for all children and young people through collaborative working.
