About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker/Buddy to join our team at ILS Case Management. As a Support Worker/Buddy, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with cognitive and physical disabilities to engage in leisure activities, access the community, and participate in therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to the individual in daily activities, including exercise programs and community outings.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks, as needed.
  • Encourage and support the individual to participate in leisure activities, such as golf, dog walking, and gym activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition or behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual's family and healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive support plan.

Requirements

  • Experience working with adults with cognitive and physical disabilities, with a willingness to learn and adapt to the individual's needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the individual and their family.
  • Patience, empathy, and a sense of humor, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.

What We Offer

  • A competitive hourly rate of £17.00 per hour, weekdays, and £18.00 per hour, weekends and bank holidays.
  • 5.6 weeks' holiday (pro rata) and on-going training and support.
  • A free DBS check and the opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team.
