Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Services Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • Serving as the primary communication link between patients, healthcare providers, and the practice team, ensuring seamless support across all interactions.
  • Conducting yourself with professionalism and compassion, fostering a welcoming environment for all patients.
  • Managing general inquiries, clearly explaining processes, and facilitating appointment scheduling.
  • Utilizing your judgment and communication skills to prioritize patients requiring urgent consultations in a calm and organized manner.
  • Recording home visit requests accurately and referring them to the appropriate medical personnel when necessary.
  • Processing repeat prescription requests and ensuring timely availability for patient collection.
  • Informing patients about applicable charges for private services, processing payments, and issuing receipts with proper consent.
  • Accurately entering patient information into the electronic health record system, ensuring that all documentation is properly filed and secured.
  • Maintaining operational continuity during staff absences due to holidays or illness.
  • Upholding confidentiality, data protection, and information governance standards at all times.
  • Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
  • Utilizing the practice's computer systems responsibly, ensuring data security and compliance with established protocols.
  • Assisting patients in navigating the services offered and connecting them with the right healthcare professionals in a courteous and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Skills
